ABOUT
Pegasus Wind Symphony
In Greek mythology, the Pegasus is often referred to as the source from which poets found their inspiration - the name itself is thought to derive from the Greek word pēgē, which means “spring, well.”
In that spirit, the Pegasus Wind Symphony exists to present a well of new and existing musical works to an audience thirsty for excellent musical performance. We believe in excellent performance and the performance of excellence through live music events that provide the opportunity to create emotion, inspiration and profound memories for its audiences and performers.
Founded by Bill Petersen, conductor and ensemble educator for over 20 years, the Pegasus Wind Symphony was born from a desire to bring high-quality music to the world.
Through live events and digital outlets, the PWS brings together musical masters and music lovers for special, one-of-a-kind concerts and performances in Northern Illinois.
